Oh my goodness, I didn’t realize how tired I was last night until I re-read the blog this morning….. I could hardly keep my eyes open and I must have missed a few keys on the keyboard.
Classes are over, Official dinner completed and the bags are packed for a 3.30 wake up call. !!!! eek. I’ll have a day of travel tomorrow (12 hours to get to Chicago)
What a great time we’ve had. My ladies worked so hard and embraced the new techniques with great enthusiasm.
The results of their labors are on the web page slide show.
I get to teach at a lot of functions like this, but I have to say, this has been fantastic. It was great to spend time with my fellow Tutors, and a little leisure time with the students. I think we laughed more than we were serious… and there was great camaraderie in class. They get to all join me by DVD in my studio as they follow the progress of a quilt over 4 week creation period. So, the class never ends. They get warts and all, the dogs barking and the phone ringing too as well as me repeating myself, however, it will re-enforce all that they have learnt over the past 4 days.
I’ve just got home from a great presentation by Laura Wazalowski.. we laughed till our sides hurt. She sang songs and took us on a journey of her life as a quilter through her luminous, quirky quilts. Visit her web site and have a browse, you’ll enjoy her work.
These are some of her wonderful dyed threads.
