This is the first part of the quilt.
It is the only piece that will be shown until the entire project is finished.
I have added an explanation and more photos of the Bayeux Tapestry – to Quilt in the ‘pages’ index of the blog.
All photos are copyright to Pam Holland.
I am just so impressed by the beauty of your project…you are amazing! Pamie G.
OH MY! Pam you have brought it to life! I have the book in front of me and yours is so rich and lively! I hope this work of wonder will travel so that I may see it some day.
Thanks for the link, now there are sound effects! Very clever interpretation.
OK, how many have you added to the total views of that little video? I think I will add a few more while I am waiting to see yours finished.
I think the fellow who was sick on the boat going across the channel was my Rello and I’ve inherited his travel sickness. Thanks for nothing mate! LOL
Brilliant video Pam and a lot of fun… if one can call the slaying of armies fun!!
I am so in awe that you are attempting this project. I’ve been following your comments about working on it for some time now. To see it develope and become a tactile piece is such a credit to your talent. You will go down in quilt history with this one.
I can not but stand in awe for your beautiful workmanship. I hope that one day this quilt will travel to Europe so I can see it with my own eyes. NicoleG Belgium
Nicolle, thanks…. it’s a labor of love…. and of sweat and sometimes tears…
However, I’m rather pleased with it.
Thanks to everyone for your comments on the Bayeux Tapestry – to Quilt. I appreciate your comments more than you could imagine….

Pam – I’m lost for words and my eyes are misty!! I really feel like I am watching the unfurling of a new page in the history of quilting.
Happy travelling on the rest of this journey.
What a joy to see the progress of what started as an idea for you. Thankyou for the inspiration to encourage us to get on with our own “good ideas”
Loved the video the sound effects were so so good, great pieces of music used through out, was very moving. Thanks for sharing Pam, it has made my down day much brighter.
Thanks, Glendajean.
