12 hours makes a huge difference. I left the George Brown convention center at 12.00 pm. and it was swarming with quilters going about their business…. I arrived back at 5.00 pm and it was amazing quiet.
There were no lines at the restaurant. No noisy buzz in the lobby of the Hilton and very few people in the bar.
I leave here in an hour (6.00) am for a trip to El Paso Texas.. the scenery will be vastly different. the temperature a little cooler and I can forget about work for a few days at least.
I'm going to Mexico to teach so it will be another adventure.
We visited the galleria yesterday afternoon. The driver from the Hyatt took us on a sight seeing tour on our way there and back. He was so proud to show us the beautiful people of Houston. The house made of beer cans and the public parks.
He really earned his tip.
Hi Pam: I enjoy reading your blog. I loved the video about Israel. Where in Mexico are you teaching?. I’m originally from Chihuahua and I adore visiting dusty El Paso. I live in Austin, Texas now. Thank you for your blog.
Thanks Marsha, I teach in Mexico city, and net year, probably a few more places…
Thanks for your email
