Paris – France.

Why am I here?

I'm going to finish filming for my documentary on the making of the Bayeux Quilt. Son Jamie and I spent 3 weeks filming, a year or so ago, but as I work I find more things I need to add to the book and the film.

I'll be doing a little more research.

We arrived in Paris after a day and part evening of travel….. I'm not too sure, but I think we arrived at the hotel about 3.00 am USA time.  It was about 9.30 am here….

I slept till 2.00 pm and then we found our feet and the fog cleared from the head after sustenance.

The image below is just outside of our hotel.
Buildings of glass mirror the most wonderful reflections as they surround the Grand Arch

A national design competition was launched at the initiative of French president François Mitterrand. Danish architect Johann Otto von Spreckelsen (1929–1987) designed the winning entry to be a 20th century version of the Arc de Triomphe: a monument to humanity and humanitarian ideals rather than military victories.

I've created a folder of interesting photos…….
