I’ve written a number of articles as I’ve traveled.. but with limited access to the internet, it’s difficult to share them until we get back to London.
To make things a little more frustrating the photo application ceased to open on my compute two days ago… so it meant I had to download another app until I get back to London to talk to Apple and get if fixed… It happened once before and it just sort of closed…
Dublin yesterday and Liverpool today (maybe).
We had a problem in Port yesterday which means we are about 8 hours behind today so it gives us limited time in Liverpool if they decide to stop there.
I’m not a cities person and prefer to catch the local busses to get around…so I guess if we do stop we will be running.
After paying $30 for a small lunch yesterday I’ve packed boiled eggs, cheese and croissants for lunch today…!!!!!
As I write, the panorama outside looks rather grim… grey water, grey skies… so it could be a day for working rather than sight seeing.
However, let me say the mental stimulation of visiting the “off the beaten track tourist sites” has fired the creative juices…. I’ve photographed beautiful tiles in the cathedrals, wrought iron gates and fenders on windows. Traveling down to the ship it was freshly ploughed fields, stone fences…… and the list is endless.
I’m able to visit places that have relevant information to the Bayeux… yesterday the Museum of History and Art in Belfast had a wonderful exhibition of the arrival of the Vikings in Medieval times… images of the Bayeux Tapestry are displayed as reference, I was able to purchase a book called “The Vikings Lord of the Seas” and there was a re-constructed Viking ship and a lot of information on how the ship were constructed….
As I wrote this I was smiling and thinking that this project “Bayeux Tapestry to Quilt” has let me on a journey that I could never have predicted and then again, you guys probably aren’t interested in that sort of stuff….

Pam, I just wanted you to know how very very much I enjoy following you and your travels and your wonderful philosophy of life. The Bayeux Tapestry is what originally drew me to you, so, yes, there ARE those of us out here very interested in what you discover in following its lead. Your energy is astounding. Thanks for sharing your life with us, your faithful readers.

I read your blog every day, and I loved the photo of the little red haired bagpiper that you posted the other day.
I think it’s great fun to go along on your travels. I think we all have a lot to learn – everyday.
