Bangkok class

“love life, engage in it,

give it all you've got. Love it with a passion

because life truly does give back

many times over what you put into it”

Maya Angelou.

I had a great day today. My students were just wonderful and very enthusiastic.

It's an absolute gift to spent time with people who want to learn something new.

The "Oh's" when a new idea is realized… and the smiles and hugs at the end of the day.

Half of the students were Thai, the other half of the group were a mixture of nationalities.  American, New Zealand, Australia, Holland, Hawaii, England Cypress…. what a mixture of cultures.

Wanitta did a wonderful job of interpreting and Bernina provided the machines.

What on earth is she looking at…..?

We created a small project.

Students learned to illustrate with pens on fabric.

We talked a lot about thread. How is it constructed, how is it made, how it reacts in the sewing machine.

What needle should they use for a  project like this. Do you wash your fabric or not?

How to take an interesting photo… how do you scale it?

Different applique and quilting stitches with the feed dogs up and finally finishing the illustration.
