I have been working on Agapamthus No 2. and playing with the texture in the quilting.

The images are quilted with smoke mono filament. The thread in the bobbin is grey.

However, the quilting below signifies the orange earth and as you can see in one panel, I will create stones in quilting for the area beneath the earth.

The next quilt, will be a very small illustrated quilt, just the buds popping out of the pod. But the following quilt, will be a large applique quilt with the full bloom of the agapanthus.

I won't be here to see the buds develop further, BUT, I have a lot of photos….
