Whoops now I see I missed a feather. This quilt is quilted with masterpiece 50 weight cotton top and in the bobbin. I used grey instead of black and I like the effect. It's not quilted as heavily as I usually quilt…
I like him, or is it her? Did you use pens or pencils to draw your bird?
I envy you your printer. Mine is just a bubble jet cheapy, the colours are not good.
I drew it on paper with pencil, then I went over it with ink.
I scanned it into the computer, colored it in photoshop and printed it out on Printed treasures fabric paper.
Ten all I had to do was quilt it.
I have had a pixma printer for years… I use it as a scanner, copier and printer, it does a good job.
Pam, this is too charming for words! How much I appreciate and learn from your specificity in getting from here to there! Is the bird block six inches and then framed by the red? Or does the finished block with border measure 6″? I love hearing about your sun! Today central New York resembles the Yukon, with howling winds and fresh snow!
Jay, the blue block itself is 6″ and the red is added. The reason I’ve added borders to the blocks is that they will all be stretched on canvas when I’ve finished. It’s going to be hot today so I will sit in the sun for a little while and think of NY

Were you inspired by Golly Bard?
I’ve been doing drawings like this for ages… but it’s similar to her work.
I looked it up when you mentioned it…
