This afternoon, we went to the 2nd Annual World Famous pig races in Nevis…. There was excitement in the air… 60's country music was playing and the announcer simply bounced around the arena whipping the crowd into a frenzy…. (of sorts)

We all stood. The National Anthem was sung and the pigs were raring to go.

The fan fare blared and the pigs were ready, Nevis went Hog wild.

All the pigs had wonderful names… one I really liked was "Claudia Schniffer"

They lined up, very excitedly.

Then they were off at a cracking pace.

And they sped past.

Races and excitement over, I had a pok dog for lunch and it cost me $3 for the combo….

Crackling value I say.

Was that a pun since cracklins are fried pork rinds? I bet the grandkids would have enjoyed the races.

I love that frog. What vibrant green with wonderful markings so he blends in with a tree. Cute pigs.
