Apps for quilters and travelers

I've had a number of inquiries about the apps I use on my Ipad.

Of course you can use these on the Ipod and the Iphone… but the art ones are easier to use on the Ipad.

Kaleidoscope  X will allow you to create a beautiful image from an existing photo.

99 cents. Have I used it for quilting?   No, not yet.

Qvik sketch

I can draw in quite a few formats with this app… this being one of them… Have I used it for quilting….YES.

I Books is great for fiction, but I downloaded Amazon Kindle (free) I have text books in there that I use for research.

I have a mac, so added the apps Pages, Keynote and numbers because they are the same as on my computer.

I write my books in Pages. $ 9.00 each

USA today is free and I can read the news wherever I am. I love to look at their photos each day.

For me…. Trip it is essential, it keeps track of all my trips and when I make a booking for a plane flight or a hotel….

I forward it to trip it and it created my itinerary…. I can also keep track of my two sisters who are gallivanting around the world as well. It shows me their hotels ….just about everything.

Pandora for the radio. I love it..

ITV so I can watch TV on the internet where ever I go.

Accuweather for the weather of course.

Yelp is still in Iphone format, but it shows me everything I know about the area I arrive in… shopping, restaurants etc.

I use it a lot.

Sketchbook, Sketchme and Photopad for altering photos and drawing… great for quilters…

Have I used them for quilting ….YES

Draft for drawing.

Blogshelf for making a bookshelf of my favorite blogs.

Scrabble, my favorite for the plane…

These are just a few…. hope it helps..

Thanks for the list. I’m always on the look out for apps that will be useful in my art. Have you tried UZU? I don’t know that it applies to quilting but it fun!

When you draw, do you use your finger or a stylus?

That is a great list, Pam! Thanks for sharing. I will be adding a few of those to my iPad. Now didn’t you mention an app that you were developing? How is that coming along and what will it be able to do (if you can share)?
