R for Ralf.

I've had one heck of a busy day with little or no work achieved at the sewing machine.

I was rather distracted yesterday because Mr Ralf… had surgery.

Mr Ralf is 7 years old, weighs 5 kg and has very bad breath. He had a denture problem… and the outcome was to remove 13 of his teeth…. It cost us the same amount as 6 nights at a luxury hotel….!!!

Now that makes me feel terrible, I felt I neglected him as a dog mother.. BUT it appears  that his problem is genetic… and trust me I'm not his birth mother… just his devoted friend.

Poor little thing, last night he tried to sit up and be bright and his little eyes closed ever so gently and he just swayed to the side and fell into a dead sleep.

This morning saw him anxious , he looked at me like the enemy, "is she taking me to that place again" He shot under the table.

Tonight when I returned home he loves me devotedly again… obviously the pain has gone…

Once again today, I went to clear out the old patterns, 2 went out and one went back….!!!! but I suppose it's a little progress.

The days have turned bleak and cold again so I think of you all in the USA with your warm bright weather… send us some please.

Hope the ‘little’ one feels better. One of our ‘little’ ones had no teeth (same problem). I even brush my Bichon but she still has to have teeth cleaning twice a year! Love your work and you inspire me daily with your blogs..whether art or life related! Thanks so much.

  2. It looks like Cody’s attention is helping ease the pain of Ralf’s surgery.
I know you must be so happy to be at home again, even to do the mundane things like cleaning out your studio. The pictures of the grandbabies are so wonderful. The apple doesn’t fall far from the (grandmother) tree with Tilly wearing her glasses.

    Pam,
I was thinking about you this morning as I wrote my morning pages and I was wondering if the patterns, unfinished projects, finished projects, etc, that you are clearing out could be turned into a charitable sale. It might make it easier for you to pass them on – and I for one think anything Pam Holland is wonderful! Anyway, just thought I would pass on the idea that came to me. I love you blog and try and read it everyday – thank you so much for the inspiration.
    Yours in New Mexico,

Give Ralfie a get well quick hug from me – Dilema of clearing out the sewing “stuff” is working with me as well. Am doing something everyday but it takes so long to read all those old emails and review the patterns and bits of paper (now why did I save this one). One whole corner done – and you know what an accomplishment that is….. Have had some rain here this week but sun is shining and nowhere does it shine like it does in New Mexico. Lots of planning going on for your visit next year. Will see you in Houston!! Fingers crossed and best thoughts going that way. A and B done working on C…..

Morning Pam, I was thrilled to see little Mr Ralf lying around on the letter R. He will be remembered for ever now by all the children of Australia. I know your alphabet book will be a best seller. I dying to see it published & send it to my grandchildren after loving it first. You are having a down run at the moment but the GOOD TIMES always make up for the bad. Cheers Glenda
