Well, the best laid plans…..
I came out to the studio this morning and I decided to add the cross hatching…… I liked the look of the quilt, but it lacked personality…. oomph… or something like that.
I do have to say I'm not too enamored by it… it's just OK.
Then again it's an audition…!!!
So I decided, what the heck I will do the cross hatching to signify the tiles.
So it's taken another 4 hours to finish… but finished it is….
It looks better in reality than the photo, it's hard to get definition in gold color on a photo, and when I look at the quilt as a smaller image… he looks a bit cross eyed, so I will fix that too.
The background was "landscaped". By that I mean it looks like the fields I see when I fly…. lines in all directions.
This is the first time, I've "double" quilted – quilted over the top of quilting.
This quilt is awesome!
