Quilt is finished…

Well, the best laid plans…..

I came out to the studio this morning and I decided to add the cross hatching…… I liked the look of the quilt, but it lacked personality…. oomph… or something like that.

I do have to say I'm not too enamored by it…  it's just OK.

Then again it's an audition…!!!

So I decided, what the heck I will do the cross hatching to signify the tiles.

So it's taken another 4 hours to finish… but finished it is….

It looks better in reality than the photo, it's hard to get definition in gold color on a photo, and when I look at the quilt as a smaller image… he looks a bit cross eyed, so I will fix that too.

The background was "landscaped". By that I mean it looks like the fields I see when I fly…. lines in all directions.

This is the first time, I've "double" quilted – quilted over the top of quilting.
