Recognition, – we embrace it.

I think the most exciting time in my quilting career was winning the Jewell Pearce Patterson Award for International Quilt Teachers.

I think I walked on air for a week or so… it was as good as winning the lottery.

Each year, International Quilt Market honors a worthy quilting instructor with the scholarship, created in honor of the late Jewel Pearce Patterson. Patterson was a quilting teacher, one of the co-founders of the International Quilt Association, and mother of Quilts, Inc. president, Karey Patterson Bresenhan.

The Scholarship has now ceased elevating the winners to a select group. The last recipient was Lisa Walton from Australia. (we had three Aussie winners over the years)

I've just been made aware of an article in the Editorial of Quilters Newsletter.

Recognition from your peers, such as the Jewell Pearce Patterson Scholarship is an honor.

Recognition for your work from the home community is wonderful.

Recognition from my Grandies means "I've made it"

Son Jamie was  featured in the same magazine last year…. and they tell me he said…

"Thanks for doing my article…….but you should talk to my Mother" !!!!! enough said.

    Pam,
Which magazine has the “Quilt Contrary” article? We can get Australian magazines here. I would be interested in reading it.

Dear Pam. They were right to give you the JPPA award, I loved your teaching last year in Bangkok. This year you seem to be fully booked, a pity. Congratulations, Marjolein Bastiaans

Congrats Pam, you deserve the recognition. Not only are your talented you enjoy sharing your talent. It fun to learn from someone who loves what she is doing. It shows in your work and the daily activities that you share with us. I am looking forward to seeing you in April at the International Quilt Festival.
