The big fish quilt stage 3.

Hours and hours of quilting today……

I've cropped the photo… and I'm happy with the results…but there is a lot more quilting to do… the rest will all be free motion quilting now.

The big fish needs to be quilted on and it will blend a lot better…. I can add more color to the fish now to bring it in line with the background.

The softness of the background is just as I imagined it….!!!!

Wow! How do you ‘see’ the results before doing it. I guess an artistic background and years of experience are great teachers.

Sort of Chris, it’s intuitive. I really can’t explain how I see it…. its just there.

Amazing! Now while all this quilting business is great and all, can you infact master the fine art of patching a pair of well loved and favourite jeans? I’m thinking some retro fabric would be very cool. Now there is an artistic skill I’d really like to see. Lol 🙂

My daughter, my daughter….. I will do you jeans today…..:) 🙂

  5. Fantastic. (Don’t you love the way that family can bring you down to earth, very flat.)

So true Carolyn, but I love the way Pam still did the mundane job of patching jeans ‘her way’! Brilliant!
