The passion of performance.

Sun, music, good food and the privilege of sharing time with talented people from around the globe has been a gift these past four days.

However, there is a tinge of sadness and despair as we watch in horror the events as they unfold in Japan.

We have a Japanese daughter and Rimiko… and we have been trying to contact her since the event.  So there was an underlying feeling of worry the whole weekend.

This morning she contacted us to let us know the family is safe and suddenly the sunny day is brighter, bluer and clearer.

What is happening folk…. I'm a little nervous about being away from home now…

Womade, World Music festival is held in countries around the world and we are so lucky to have it here in our city of Adelaide.

So glad to hear that your daughter and family are safe. Is Jaime safe at home? I can understand your nervousness to travel at this time. Listen to your gut… I know your heart will always want to travel.

Wendy, thanks….. all are safe at home…. now we feel relief that Rimiko and her family are OK
