A fabulous day.

The life of a Quilt Teacher….!!!

It's 6.30 am and its the quiet of early morning on the high plains of the desert.

At home it would be a cacophony of sound with parrots, magpies and other birds in chorus and the squeal of the train grinding up the hill.

I'm here in Alamogordo to spend time with our organising committee. Our next Quilting fundraising function is, 14th – 16th July and already the wheels are in motion.

Yesterday was hilarious.

I arrived at 1st National Bank (our sponsor) at the designated time of 10.00 am and its like old home week…. they are just the nicest folk.

I was handed 8 pages of info….. with "Princess arrives" on the front…. the name "Princess Pammy" originally came from some of my buddies at home in Queensland and these guys carry it on…..!!!!

At closer inspection… 4 pages were script…!!!!

"That's for your radio commercial" said Rainee with a cute smile on her face.

Suddenly, at my side was Richard and he was ready to go… so off to the radio station within a few minutes.

No time to rehearse…

It was fun, we got through it quite easily… and it was interesting to see how the studio worked… tweaking, editing and adding music… it's sounds a bit  like "home on the range"

Next stop was the Frito Pie stand….

Ha, now I know what it is… it's Fritos, (corn chips) chilli, cheese and hot pickle….

But I couldn't stay there long… into the car again and attend a Rotary Lunch.

I ate, talked and rushed back to be whisked off for a live radio interview….

Whew…. what fun.

And today is about the same… interviews, quilt shop appearance and another Rotary Lunch… meetings and laughing.

A week or so ago someone put up a video of Mrs Brown and her sons. "Mrs Brown and her Bikini Wax" It's a BBC program previewed on You tube.

I laughed so much when I first viewed it that I just had to show Lisa last night.

It was one of those events that when you start laughing you can't stop and we were still talking about it this morning…

I couldn't even concentrate on Alice Isabella or the blog.

I will talk more about our event tomorrow… we have a web page and it will be up in a day or so…

I’m so glad to see the nickname I gave you all those years ago – “Princess Pammy” has stuck! We can’t all be Princesses so where the title with pride! 🙂 xoxo
