First of all, I guess some people would ask why I would take this photo?
In reality, something is triggered in my brain to say, "I Like this combination"
I like the blue color.
I like the way the red intereacts with the blue and the squareness of the bricks, the color of the flint.
I think of flint and it reminds me of the first time I traveled to England and first saw flint fences. I was fascinated..
Flint reminded me of my school days when I learned about flint being used as tools….
And so on……
So as you can see, I'm creating in my mind because my mind stimulates memories and in this paticular case warm comfortable things.
Same door, different view, and the imagination flows…
I could illustrate it…
I could create it in fabric
I could use the latch as an image for design….
I could write a story about it….
See what I mean… it flows.. if you give license to your imagination.
Interesting. I used to tutor ‘encouraging children’s creativiity’ workshops in early childhood education and one aspect was all about ensuring children had experiences, giving them the time to absorb them (soak it in dont poke it in!) and helping them by providing language and suchlike. I guess for us adults it’s much the same – slow down and experience the world :-). (love that blue!)
Perfect inspiration! I love it!

It’s wonderful isn’t it…. and I enjoyed sharing the same sentiments with the students yesterday.
I love this. It shows very well how original springs from inspiration.
