Days have passed and I've not had time to write.
In fact I did write a long blog in the airport in LA. I looked down at my watch and let out an expletive…. "We've missed the plane"
I shut the computer. (Loosing all my info) and the heart was beating a mile a minute…. a less sturdy person would have had a heart attack… but fortunately… I was an hour ahead of myself and we were still on time.. but it did take me a while to recover from the shock.
I was writing about our visit to MOCA.
"Art in the Streets is the first major U.S. museum survey of graffiti and street art. The exhibition traces the development of graffiti and street art from the 1970s to the global movement it has become today, concentrating on key cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, and Sao Paulo, where a unique visual language or attitude has evolved.
The exhibition features paintings, mixed media sculptures, and interactive installations by 50 of the most dynamic artists."
What has it to do with quilting?… The design elements are striking and having just finished a piece in this genre I was fascinated. It's the honest visual expressions I enjoy so much.
Everything presented is easily recognisable and not subjective.
"now what did the artist mean by that"
