While I was in Mexico, I purchased some of the "Meximerican style" Garments…
The cut is super, the fabric is great but it needed oomph… so at 4.00 this morning I was out embellishing one of the tops.
I used Thai silk patches and to balance the color, a little black and white spot stripe on the front and one on the back…. it's a bit like creating a quilt on your clothes….
I also have a super white top that I'm going to illustrate on….
and I sewed the label for my camera bag….I always laminate it and it gets bent with handling, so now it's quilted to hold it firm.
I manged to get lots of kits cut this morning as well and now I have the rest of the day free….
Sadly we have a funeral to attend.
I also purchased Ikea fabric yesterday… I love it and I managed to get 11 metres for $22 of the most beautiful fine cotton for the backs of quilts or for samples… (they have a sale on right now.)
It's very wide and just lovely to work with.
