The end of the day and I have to go to bed in anticipation of a busy today tomorrow…
The crowds lined up at the door an hour before the entry time… I was unable to get there in time with the camera… but I guess you know what it's like.
The quilts are stunning this year… so bright and beautifully quilted.
As you can imagine, I'm enamored with this quilt.
It's Wisdom, by Jennifer Day of Santa Fe New Mexico.
I did buy some interesting things and I will share them on the blog tomorrow.
My bent is not really towards quilting fabric, but interesting textiles, I bought antique clock faces… to insert into the Quatches Quilt.
The value on opening of my donated charity quilt… the red shoes was $300
Wow!a little bit scary on the last picture but really, this is one masterpiece.
What an amazing quilt! I see she also won the Spirit of Texas award for another one. Do you know if these are totally thread painted or stitched over a photo base? His hair really looks 3D.
Wendy, it’s stitched over a photo base.
Pam… when things are settled and a little slowed down, I’ve got a question. I used to be able to find a link to your photographic albums. Can’t find it now. Are you sharing your photos publicly still? Would love to see what you saw in Houston. And… as always, I am an avid follower and so amazed at your talent and gift of sharing. You’re the best!!!!
Liz, thanks I’ll look at it….
pam i was all set to bid on your red shoes quilt in the silent auction….I LOVED IT….then i saw the opening bid and there was no way i could top that…..i was and still am sad….
