The previous post was tongue in cheek, but there is a serious side to travel and each year I add more and more things to my list of 'Must do's' to get the most benefit out of the experience.
7 year old Kodi now has the internet, so we need to send factual stories and photos back to him so he can research the places we visit himself.
There are stories of a whimsical Nature for the rest of the little people in our lives…now Tilly is at school I need to add more for her.
But on a more personal level is the side of creating from the images I see.
It could be a pattern, a color, a combination of both or just the line of one of my drawings.
My photos are an integral part of the experience and I have increased my permanent luggage two fold with bigger and better cameras and lenses.
But it's what I do, it's what I love and to be honest, it's just pure joy for me at time.
It might sound schmaltzy, but its the way it is…
My journal is full of sketches that may emulate quilting lines, or color…
Take this image for instance.
How can I replicate it… ?
We're off to the dead sea today so I hope to expand in this when I have better internet service tonight….
Oh, boy, Pam. Your photo of the 12 year old boy is killer! I see a portrait quilt there.
Yes, he smiled like that all the time…. I made him promise me he would go bo9ck to school…. but I don’t think that will happen….!
