I need more time.!!!

The time goes so fast, the time between 4.00 am to 7.00 when I have brekky (Australian slang for breakfast) just whizzes by.

It's always dark when I arrive and I get to see the sun rise, which is just super.

I watch the American news and I talk to the TV when I don't agree with their opinions… the dogs look at me as if I'm crazy.

I have encountered a problem though.

I find I need to find a very large Teflon mat. When I made the other parts of the Bayeux, I joined two together with tape… but I wonder if anyone knows where I can buy it by the yard.

The ships are huge… Some as long as 30 inches and with over 150 pieces.

Everything is assembled on the applique mat working off my drawings.

This photo shows the back of the applique. The glue still remains where the fabric is contact with the Teflon mat… where it is in contact with fabric it adheres…

Then I can very carefully remove it from the applique mat, pick it up and position it onto the fabric.

So Pam stop writing the blog and get on with it.!

  1. It is so funny to me to picture you yelling at the news from over here. But I have a suggestion for your applique. You can use silicone baking mats and there might be one out there big enough. I’ve done it so I know it works.

  2. I checked. Largest is 16 x 24. They also make Silicone Release Paper. That you will have to check out for lengths. Good luck.

When all else does not work, you could use parchment paper which is available at the grocery store in the US or the release paper from Wonder under. I do fabric collage and use both all the time. Kathy S.

Try Valerie Hearder in Canada. She sells it by the yard. http://www.valeriehearder.com/supplies/teflon.html
