Georgie

I cradled our 21 year old cat George as she was put to sleep today.

George and her Sister Milly joined us almost 21 years ago. They were dumped at my Parents house when they were small kittens, left in a big paper bag with their food and bowls.

Poor Dad, he nearly had a fit.

So we inherited them and they've given us a lot of happiness.

Georgie, conned my cleaners into feeding her fish when they come to clean.  She hopped in visitors cars and took a few trips down the road by mistake.

She followed me around for days when I came home from tour.

She talked a lot and now it will be quiet.

Georgie is  resting under the hydrangeas where she used to sun-bake each day.

I'll miss her face at the window and seeing her curled up on the settee.

How lucky for Georgie and Milly to have found their way into your life. I know what a void they leave.

So sorry. I know how you feel. It took me months to quit thinking I saw our cat out of the corner of my eye. I’m sure you gave Georgie and Milly wonderful lives.
