Tangerine Tango, a spirited reddish orange, continues to provide the energy boost we need to recharge and move forward.
It's been called "invigorating," "dramatic" and "seductive."
But only neophytes dare call it merely orange.
No, the shade you'll be seeing lots of in coming months is tangerine — not just any tangerine, but "Tangerine Tango," a reddish-orange hue recently declared 2012's color of the year by Pantone, a leading color-forecasting firm based in Carlstadt, N.J.
"Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow," explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
The result?
"A high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy," she says.
Talk about a shade that packs a punch.
I played with the color chart.
I like this set… the two greens work well together, but should there be a blue in there.?
I have a new dinner set arriving that I had made in Mexico, I want to integrate some of these colors in my furnishings to mach the set.
Ir's fun playing with color.
These are also the colors I have in the illustration of the juggler…. at the top of the page.
Have you always been a trendsetter? Don’t you have shoes that color? (I figured that would be a safe choice, Imelda. Isn’t that Caroline’s name for you?)
Well, I’m not quite an Imelda, but I’m in training.
