How could you not be inspired by such beautiful things in a beautiful surrounding.

The light was wonderful as it streamed through the skylights at the top of the building.

There were so many things to see and do, but I was busy most of the time filming, photographing and chatting to people.

I did buy some wonderful fabric, cotton that looks like silk.

This is similar to the piece I purchased…. (actually pieces)

Luana and I also bought ourselves some interesting head pieces…. we will photograph them tomorrow. !!!!!

You will be amazed at the pain and suffering we went through to share this item.

My favorite things at AQC…. had to be the quilts of Merelyn Pearce.

The beautiful decorations on the buildings, in fact the buildings itself.

The SAQA exhibition I mentioned last night.

The ambiance and the people I met.

Thank you.

Merelyn Pearce’s quilts are amazing. Are they hand appliqued? Thanks for sharing your experience.

Merelyn Pearce’s style is very inspiring. Looking at the close up it almost looks like French knots around some of the pieces or beading?
It’s stunning and I love the painted stencil…that would be lovely in the corners of a room…maybe when I paint the bedroom. Thank you,
    Pam.
