International Quilt Festival of Ireland

Just home from the opening event at the first International Quilt Festival of Ireland.

Its almost 12.00 and I have to be up at 5.00 am.

The youngest Quilter in Ireland. Aged just 7, she was asked, "how long have you been quilting" her answer, "all my life"

  1. Could you possibly take a picture of my friend, Bobbie Edwards-Maever’s quilt, if you happen to see it? She is from Lancaster, CA, and she was asked to submit a quilt for the Christmas exhibit. A representative from the Ireland show happened to see pics of her quilts on my blog,, last December, and wrote to see if they could use her quilts in their Christmas exhibit for the show. She was totally excited, and sent them one quilt. She had hoped to attend the show, but was not able, due to illness in her family.
