International Quilt Festival of Ireland.

There was another significant exhbition at the Festival

Patchwork Promises, sponsored by Aurifil.

It is an exhibition that includes 35 quilts made by 7 different countries. Russia, United States, Netherlands, Japan, Australia, Ireland and Kenya.

Organised by Nikki Foley its been a huge undertaking.

So I will share mine and add others later.

It's called Drysdales Dame because the image of the lady in the picture is taken from one of his famous paintings, (sort of)

In effect it was a round robin quilt, I created the center piece and the other borders were added by Team Australia, Alan Tremain, Beth Miller, Linda Tucker and Martin Wright.

I quilted it of course…

Its the story of my travel out of Australia. It has small envelopes with little notebook quilts in them describing the journey.

We're off to the ring of Kerry today… so I'm trying to fit the blog in around the work and travel.
