The stitching on the face needs to be small tight stitches because of the angles… but I can open up the stitching on her scarf.

You need to be aware of the way the fabric would sit on her head… because the stitching is more visible than  a flatter painted image.

Right now I'm stuck… I need to print the photo out on a large bright piece of paper and I don't have any so I'm using the small picture for the color.

Pressing is really important.

I press after every stage.

Next stage is the highlight black and grey on the scarf.
