The image is taking shape and is now almost looking 3 dimensional. I'm happy with the hands and I'm about to create the walking stick… its crudely done right now.

I've added some ink to the background, I think you can see the ink markings.

Considering how much thread work there is on the image, it hasn't puckered much at all, you can see that the edge of the picture has gone in just a little bit.

Now I'm in a bit of a dilemma on how to quilt the border. My gut feeling is to do the contour quilting I do on a lot of my quilts. It adds texture without taking over the picture… I'm not a feather and fan sort of person.

    I just love her. She’s coming along so well. I have to say that I like your work over photos more than any others I’ve seen. I like how she doesn’t look like a photo after your thread work is done. She looks like thread art. The others I’ve seen are impressive, yes. A lot of work, yes. But they still look like a photo. This is just PERFECT!!!
