I couldn't wait to start this project, but in reality I should wait till daylight… I know I see the colors differently in natural light.

Nevertheless, I put the Bayeux Discipline castle (Dinan Castle) aside after 5.00 and worked on this project a little. I've been working on that darn castle for 2 days now.

Back to the thread painting project, I'm using Superior and Aurifil 50 weight cotton thread. Both are 2 ply and seem to be working well together, although the Aurifil 2 ply is a little thicker than the Superior.

I'm going to print a good photo tomorrow and that will help me with the shading.

For this project I need to work with small runs of stitches.
