It's just like coming home when I arrive in Alamogordo.
I love the sky, I love the light and I love the people.
This is my mojo.
I went to the bank this morning to see what my schedule for the week entailed and I was sitting talking to my adviser, we both looked at the schedule and exclaimed…. XXXXXX
Whoops.!!!!
Here I was in my sneakers and 'Pam' clothes and I had to be at the library to read to the children…. (15 minutes earlier)
We raced out the door…. and a phone call was made to tell them I was on the way and 5 minutes later I was reading the story of the Adventures of the Amazing Alphabet to the group of the most gorgeous children.
I was introduced as the Author and then there was a demonstration on a globe of how far we had to fly.
I told them they give you pajamas with Kangaroos on the front of them when its time to sleep….their little eyes got wider and wider.
This was the first reveal of the book here in the USA with the formal launching happening on Thursday.
The kids were intrigued and asked lots of questions, we poured over the illustrations and I read part of it and explained the rest of the story.
Then they made paper quilts….
So am I breaking new ground. With a quilting book that is enjoyed by children and their Mothers an Grandmothers alike.!!!!
The books will go in the library…. some for the bambinos and some for the Mothers (or Quilters)
Many Many Congratulations to you Pam! Though I have only been following your blog for perhaps a year, I certainly have learned a lot about you and this is, Pam, definitely another new ground breaking for you, and you know it too well that the sky is the only limit to you. One thing for sure, there is no need for any further validation from here on, you have got it, the ‘Midas Touch’ (if I am allowed to say so), and may you continue to flourish and inspire us all for many many more years to come. God bless you and your family, always….
CONGRATULATIONS PAM. Cant wait to see the BOOK. Hope will be available at the Houston quilt market

Thank-you so much for coming to talk to us on such short notice (and for everything else you have done for us)! My 6yo is still asking me questions about the story:)
Rachael, thanks so much… I don’t know about the midas touch, but I love doing what I do.
Kundan, I will have some at Houston.
I made a promise to him…. I will show him all the heads when I come back next year.
