Wool (Photo credit: Trevor Dickinson)
This is a huge hand painted roof covering in the latest Asian Exhibition on view at the GOMA the other day.
I think this piece is fascinating.
Haukulasi is a practice invented by Tohi which uses traditional teachniques to create a new form using wood, wool and nails. I like the optical illusion and play on these pieces.
Visiting the GoMa is a wonderful visual experience.
