Following the line – working though a design.

I’m in Alligator country right now, You never know what’s around the corner.
I intended to go to the museums but I got on the wrong ferry and ended up in Hollywood.
The Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, a 2.5-mile-long pedestrian promenade, it bustles with joggers, skaters, cyclists and families. The shops and booths at the edge of the walk are a  little tired in a way, but they add character to the strip. I took out the big camera to get some interesting shots.
I tried to capture the spirit of the area, every photo is a potential quilt design. I look at color, form and combination.
I rather like the image below, the pencil lines would indicate the background quilting direction. His dipping wing is the feature and indicates flight, it has a powerful command of the picture.
I also like the rope with the red writing…. and the colors of the seat, the turquoise and orange of the wall and bricks.
I could make a combination of the three…….!
