Korean textile art Santa Fe Folk Art Market.

Korean quilting is quite different to quilting as we know it.! What are pojagi quilts? Korean quilts use a different technique than French seams, so pojagi seams have the raw edges folded inside the seam and the back is the same as the front. Quite often the pieces are placed in random patterns. The quilts we saw yesterday were made by a textile artist, Sunghee Kim  from Korea. The fibers were hand dyed and glowed like a stained glass window.
