Ever since I was a child I've visited Art galleries. That's a very long time.
I like to study an artist who captures my imagination. The art of Marvin D. Cone 1891 – 1965 is one such artist. He was a close friend of grant Wood of American Gothic fame.

In this painting, I like the way the colors compete and the strength of the shadows at angles.
Now when I take photos I have the image of Marvin Cone's dramatic angular paintings in mind.
Of course the images below are different but its still fun experimenting.
