I collect folk art and Textiles from the places where my feet land. As a continuation to my post on Art to Survive. I’m adding these images. They are true folk art and give me great delight looking at them each day.
I use the pieces for decoration and also for inspiration and it’s only a small portion of my collection.
Mexico.
Haiti
These two pieces are delightful. I love the whimsy. I bought them at a market in Haiti.
I use these bowls every day in the studio. They are used for threads and appliqué pieces and I bought these in Haiti as well.
Africa
These animals are made from old cans.
This piece is an absolute treasure. A caravan and truck made from an old oil can.
