Did we have fun? Indeed we did.
I admire the ladies so much.
Each person created an individual design. I just smile when the excitement hits on the second day, “I can really do this”
In fact, the wolf was the subject of our event…. but Geraldine and a few others interesting subjects took over.
We looked at the art of Vincent van Gogh who was a unique artist who worked with a sense of urgency which often caused him a great deal of stress. He was famed for his bold, dramatic brush strokes which expressed emotion and added a feeling of movement to his works. It´s thought that he often used paint straight from the tube (impasto)
Can we reproduce his idea in quilts…. YES, I think so.
There was an underpainting with pigment ink, and then thread placed over the top.
The photos of the work the ladies did in class is fabulous. It is such a good feeling when you can see your efforts all coming together into a great piece of art. Congratulations to the teacher and the participants
Yes we did have FUN and learned so much. Thank you Pam for being such a wonderful inspiration to us and you teaching ability.
Just guiding the way folks.
