Did we have fun?    Indeed we did.

I admire the ladies so much.

Each person created an individual design. I just smile when the excitement hits on the second day, “I can really do this”

In fact, the wolf was the subject of our event…. but Geraldine and a few others interesting subjects took over.

We looked at the art of Vincent van Gogh who was a unique artist who worked with a sense of urgency which often caused him a great deal of stress. He was famed for his bold, dramatic brush strokes which expressed emotion and added a feeling of movement to his works. It´s thought that he often used paint straight from the tube (impasto)

Can we reproduce his idea in quilts…. YES, I think so.

There was an underpainting with pigment ink, and then thread placed over the top.
