That’s it folks. No more time. Quilts from the International Quilt Festival Houston

This has to be my last post with the quilts from the International Quilt Festival Houston.

I didn’t have time to work yesterday because I had adventures of another type well away from the genre of Quilting. Luana Rubin and I were given the honor of a visit deep into the body of the NASA Ground Control by Dr Jack Bacon and Astronaut Victor Glover at the Johnson Space centre. It was an honor and I thank them both most sincerely for the amazing opportunity.

In the evening we switched emotions and shared the story of the rehabilitation and future of young orphans and street children living in the garbage dumps in Kenya through the efforts of  Sodzo International. read their story.

I had a lot of work to catch up on today, but an 8 hour sleep last night certainly helped.

So lets quilt.

Thanks.

Dear Pam sending such a Huge thanks for my visit to the show through your camera eye, it has been an incredible journey with you; just studying all the photos each day left me feeling exhausted but exhilarated. There were so many extraordinary quilts, how can they finally choose winers???????? How amazing that you managed to visit NASA now that would be interesting to see how you saw that through your camera eye LOL. Looking forward to your next adventure. Cheers Glenda FNQLD

Hi Pam, I’ve recently discovered you due to a gift of your book from a friend. I was doing a search online for one of my quilts and low and behold you’ve posted about it in this blog post. I’m flattered you liked my quilt, Pennies In My Garden enough to highlight it. Thanks so much! Hopefully we will meet someday in Houston at !arket or Festival! (I’d love to know what kind of camera you used. I’ve never gotten such a clear photo of that quilt!)
