I’m working on a new filing system for my old projects and re-visiting past designs and bringing them up to date.
They are very different to my current designs and I love the comparison. They bring a smile to my face.
This first series was one of my first teaching jobs and I was asked to design a stained glass project for a small town in the outback of Australia.
Can I say it was almost 20 years ago now.
I took inspiration from the colors of the opals mined in the towns as my guide and the entire quilt is foundation pieced. I had to hand draw all of the patterns. Gulp. However, I look at them with a sense of pride. I have over 45 patterns which need to see the light of day. Most of them have never been published.
However, I also worked on this project this afternoon too.
So different, but still Pam.
Starting back on the creative road, I’ve been working on the 12 days of Christmas, Australian style. I may only get four blocks designed because I’ve rejected a few ideas.
This one is a reject. I changed Genre’s and I may only get to “four Koalas Cuddling” before Christmas. However many of you have requested the pattern. I will put it into a PDF for you to download as my Christmas Gift to you.

Dear Pam as soon as I read, 2 pink Galahs and an emu up a Gum Tree. a few minutes ago I laughed and laughed and thought what is she up to now, I just LOVE that emu I’m starting to laugh again writing this. Thanks so much for sharing your gorgeous sense of humour in your art Pam LOL. I’m going to be laughing all day over the emu. I brought your alphabet book for my grandees but I think I read it more than they did LOL. They are coming up for Xmas so it will be read again. Cheers Glenda FNQLD
