I’m a textile artist, and the best way to learn is to study the art of others.

Scott Frazer

I’ve had a wonderful day today wandering through the Denver Art Museum.

I discovered the art of Scott Frazer an Artist  from Boulder. I’m just astounded at the way he  can capture the image, the detail and the composition.

Let me just say that studying the work of others is about reverse-engineering. It’s like taking something apart to see how it works. It gives me a better understanding of how I can do things.

The broom, the sneaker, the chair, the light, the color.

And I capture the colors in adobe capture so I can study the image better. It is an interesting palette. I love the light on her hair.

I am really enjoying your blog. Met you for the first time at Asilomar last week. Maybe I will be in your class next year.
