What do you want to be when you grow up?

We ask our children and our Grandchildren  “Who do you want to be when you grow up?”

They will tell you, a policeman, a nurse, or even a fireman.

I just wanted to be a Mum, an Artist and of course married. !

It wan’t really until I was in my early 40’s that I decided there was more to life than making school lunches, doing the washing and ironing and cooking mountains of food (as rewarding as it was) and I began a small fashion design business. I had no idea what I was doing. I just had good ideas, good intentions and $2000 and as the years progressed the family grew, I worked full time as a designer and I’m proud of what my business partner and I achieved.

If you asked me now what I would like to do when I grow up. I would say I would like to be a photographic journalist and a Textile Art Designer.

My world has changed almost faster than I can keep up. Who hasn’t seen their life fundamentally changed by technology over the past decades

Indeed, so set forth and create a world with meaning, a world that reflects your needs and values – who doesn’t want to achieve that.

I know what I want to be when I grow up.
