Gees Louise, it’s about to begin again.

The past few weeks has  probably been the longest time I’ve put my blog writing on hold.

I have a pile of  notes on my desk that need attention but an unplanned interstate trip to attend the funeral of our close friend allowed them to stay there untouched. Its been a sad, and emotional visit seeing family and friends laden with the burden of loss.

Life has a way of catching us off guard some times, flexibility and a degree of C’est La vie helps minimally at these times.

Right now I’m swamped with work.

Contracts, class preparation, formal presentations, teaching, and a little bit of soul mending for family, it’s all part of the job. We’ve even been re-building, What were we thingking?

Most of my day-to-day  life consists of nothing more than unglamorous, disciplined labor. I sit here at my desk and slog away like a labourer, and that’s how it gets done. It’s a bit like loading  bricks into a barrow. Tedious and heavy. But there is another side to my work that allows me to reap the rewards of the hard work through the satisfaction of achievement and the super things I am now allowed to pursue through those efforts.

Tick that one off the list.

I’m luckier than most Tutors because I have a personal assistant and trust me I value her help more than you can imagine. However, my mind works overtime when preparing for the next adventure. I throw the ideas to her and we collaborate as a team.  Its  blessing.

What on earth is the next adventure  you ask, well it may be coming to an interesting class. Joining me on a Textile tour of India and Nepal or even a class in the Carribean.

So its a flurry of excitement and work right now and I do admit that the brain is on overload.

When it all gets too much, I spend time with the Grandies,
