Well, it’s all over bar the excitement of the win.
I just love going to award ceremonies and dear friend Mark Sherman gave a very moving tribute to AQS founder Bill Schroeder who passed away recently. What an amazing legacy he leaves.
This year, there was viewer voting, and I’m honestly not too sure how it worked, but the judges pick the winners and then the public and vote for the quilt they think should be the winner out of those chosen few.
These are some of the quilts I photographed this morning before class this morning.
ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE, Kathy McNeil, Tulalip, WA
Detail My Rhode, Andrea Brokenshire, Round Rock Texas.
Three thieving Crows. – Gayle Pulley, Eatonville WA
Amazing! Just beautiful workmanship.
Love the quilts especially the ” Three Thieving Crows” . Thanks for sharing.,
Love all the detail. I thought the rhododendron was real.
Pam, thank you so very much for this tour of the quilt show. I was born in Paducah 79 years ago, long before it was the nation’s quilt capital and have never been to the quilt show. It’s on my bucket list, but your four-day blog left me determined to move it to the top of the list! Thank you! Carol
Incrediable pieces of art? How could you choose one over the other for viewers choice??? I’d have to toss a coin. Your camera eye captures the feeling of the quilt Pam not just the beauty. My goodness the detail n the quilting of both those quilts is breathtaking. I’ve said it so many times but have to say it again Thank you for sharing your time and talent how I’ve loved the years travelling with you in my arm chair. Cheers Glenda FNQLD
Your work is exquisite, I love it!!!!
