The Winners – International Quilt Festival Houston

Untitled_48

It has been an extremely hectic few weeks. However, I now have a little time to work on my computer,  and I can share the images I took at Houston on the blog.

I will feature the winning quilts in their categories and also the quilts I love and had great respect for.

Reminiscence by Mariko Takeda of Nagoya-shi, Aichi-ken, Japan

It was difficult to get a good image of it, the signs either side of it added a shadow. The hand quilting and appliqué are executed with precision.

Thank you for the close ups of Linda Anderson’s quilt. I wasn’t able to get some while I was in Houston and I was kicking myself for it. I really enjoyed your luncheon presentation. Thank you for sharing.
