Taking images for design.

I’ve not had much time to design over the past few days… but I will add a few images I took at Palo Duro Canyon the other day

When I’m designing I take a lot of images to work out which ones I would prefer to use.

I look for colour and detail.

This flower was moving in the wind and moved as I took the image, but I love it. I love the hint of delicacy of the flower and the bright green behind it.

From this image I can capture colour. The various greens and the purple and off white.

I love the various shades of the life of the flower, the softness of the one in the background.

I’m using a Sony A4500 and an FE 4.5 -300 lens. It’s lighter than my Canon cameras and lenses and when I travel on my own its easier for me to use.

Rather than photographing down on the flower, I have taken the camera level with the flower.

I really like the pattern underneath the flower and the way the leaves curl up the stem.

In telling the story, I want to take images of the different stages in the life of the flowers and how they sit in the field.

So now just what will I do with these?
