Camels

Camels

I’ve had a love hate relationship with camels, and I’ve ridden them in Dubai, India and Jordan. You know I could take it or leave it, to be honest, I’m not built for camel riding.

We visited Petra in Jordan and this is where these photos were taken.

I have made and taught a camel quilt…. but I gave it away.

This year, I’m going to the Camel fair in Pushkar India, there will be 1000’s of camels there, many of them dressed in hand woven and sewn adornments. So this blog is a preparation for that event.

I love the textiles used on the saddles of the Camels.
The wonders of Petra in Jordan, it was an amazing experience.
Bedouin children.

Enjoy the images of my camels.

Aunt Anne traveled a lot and one trip sent home camel saddles that were used for foot stools……

Wow, Pam — that does look like an amazing experience! Thank you for sharing it with your readers (especially this one, who has always been intrigued by Petra).
