We’re in Isolation.
Every person I know, or have ever met throughout the world has to isolate themselves due to this pandemic. It’s changed everything we know as normal.

Each of us is working on creating something pleasant to still the heart at this time, what better way than to share the beauty and talent of the exceptional exhibits at the Houston Quilt Festival. 2019.

A Perfect memory of my time in the Greek Islands, this work captured the typical scene I enjoyed there.

The inspiration for this quilt came two years ago when I first saw The Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas. I was so delighted by it, as it brought me so many emotions and such a vibrant experience, that I decided to express it in a quilt. There are 20 Beatles songs in the production represented…song that have touched so. many lives in all countries throughout the years. This year is the 50th anniversary of the bands’s last performance.

Design Source: A photo taken at Revolution Mill in Greensboro, North Carolina. Rails, Ducts and Stairs is a mirror image of a staircase at Revolution Mill, a former flannel mill in Greensboro, North Carolina. I wanted to capture the core of the mill – the broad beams, support columns, soaring windows, and brick walls – in an abstract form, taking the viewer inside the building. In the process of mirror imaging the photo, an image of a cat’s head resulted; can you find it in the right corner.

Pacific Grove is fogged in. A lone truck is parked outside City Hall Garage, waiting for the first call. Inspiration for this quilt is from the Fogg Family History, as it depicts the actual tow truck that Fred Fogg drove during the 1930’s in Pacific Grove, California.
