Let’s draw on the iPad..

I use my iPad for most of my designing. It’s such an advantage to have everything in front of you visually, and you can make changes without having to unpick, re-draw or re-make.
The first class will be how to use the Apps.
I use Adobe Draw, Adobe Fresco and Adobe Capture. Adobe Sketch has been superseded by Fresco. If you go to your App program, it states that they are free with in-app charges. As a Tutor, I use adobe for my media formats and my photos, so I get the iPad and iPhone apps free.
I have had surgery on my hand, and I’m only using my right hand at the moment. I’m frustrated, but I can still use my iPad to work on. In fact it’s all I can do.

Yesterday morning I picked this small branch of leaves from the tree outside I propped in a jar, and took a photo of it on the iPad.

Now this is the exciting part. I put the photo into Fresco and traced it.

Then I filled it with colour.

Black first.
Then Turquoise.

I took a small part of the image and created a pattern I could use as an applique or even print it as fabric.

I created a painting and then changed the colour.

So you can see how versatile it is and I will work step by step with you all along the way.

I am setting up a class that is a very reasonable price, around $10 US for each different genre. You will have unlimited access to the class until February 2nd.

It will be online on Wednesday the 2nd of December.

Here are just a few more samples.

  8. Christine Marshall says:

Yeah! It was a setting in photos sketch ‘making all available instead of selected. I don’t know why but YEAH!

That happened to me too, were you able to access your photos. With a new iPad apple should talk you through it.

I’ve looked over your website but am not finding the Ipad drawing class. Where can I find that? I know it was delayed, but I seem to recall a post in facebook that indicated you were filing it.

    1. Pam Holland says:

It’s finished and ready to put up on the web site. It takes a while to add the bells and whistles so just a few days and I will announce it.
