6.20 am and I know why I love to live where I live.
It's dawn and the birds are in loud conversation with each other.
The smell of eucalyptus is heightened by the rain last night.
I'm sure the vegie garden has grown overnight and the green of the new lettuces are luminous….
And all this before I've had my coffee.

Chris, that’s one of the wild doves that frequent the bird feeder.
Actually that’s not eucalyptus, it’s a rose leaf. I was entranced by the beads of water on the points of the leaf.
