Textile art

As promised I'm going to share some of the experiences I've had over the past few days…

Classes finished and we took a day off. We traveled over bumpy roads, through villages and into secluded gardens to find the most amazing Textile Art. For instance. The traditional embroidery on dresses and tops.It takes 6 months to make one garment and it costs purchasers about $120.

Did I buy some…. ? No, but I did enjoy the stories and the art.

We visited the home of Virgina Sanchez Cornelio. These are some of the samples of her art, the patterns and techniques handed down from her Grand Mother.
